From the Train Station Klosters Dorf you walk a short distance to the Cable car Station that brings you to the Madrisa Station at around 1800m.
At the beginning of the hike you walk trough the Ski area, once you passed this section you get beautiful views of the valley ahead.
The first 5km are a traverse hike, nothing difficult but at times you have to be careful not to slip. At one point there is a metal stair to overcome a steep section and this might be a problem for some dogs. Apart from that it is a beautiful section with great views of the valley and Saaser Calanda.
From Zastia you start a steady uphill section that becomes steeper and steeper the closer you get to the Früggli (2255m). Once you reach the pass you are rewarded with a breathtaking view of the mountain range that forms the border to Austria. There is a short hike up to the top of the Jägglisch Horn (2290m)
a great place to eat your lunch.
The hike from Jägglisch Horn to the Alp Hindersäss (2003m) is hard on your knees. From there your hike follows the stream of the Alpbach and you hike is many on a mountain road.
5km before you reach Sankt Antönien you get the option to rent a Scooter and finish your hike like this is amazing.
In Sankt Antönien you have to take a bus that drives to Küblis and from there you take the train back to
I can only recommend this hike to anyone who likes hikes above the tree line.
