- In Graubünden, Hike a Week
0

Last Weekend I planned an overnight Trip to the Val Mora Valley in Graubünden, Switzerland. My inspiration for this trip came from this Trip report here.
The general Idea for this trip was to test some of my new gear that I got after I learned my lesson in Scotland last May. I got a new Tent, new Backpack and a different cooking solution. And I have to say my Backpack was a lot lighter than my old one and just with that the whole trip as so much better.
The Hike started in St. Maria val Müstair, the Hiking path isn’t that visible at first, but If you walk up the road (back to Vernez) you pass a Grocery shop called Volg. There you turn left and walk up and from there you have way signs that you can follow towards Döss Radond.
From there you follow the beautiful Valley to Buffalora. You will meet a lot of Mountain bikers on the trail, but it is wide enough so that it’s not an issue.
You can do this Hike in one day or in two like I did. There is a farm where you can stay overnight, but if you want to do it in one day you have to travel to St. Maria Val Müstäir the day before, because it take too much time to travel from Zürich and back on the same day.
I really recommend doing this Hike even if you don’t want to do all of it, it is really nice and the views of the Mountains surrounding is just amazing.
There is also a Panorama Hike into the National Park.
