Talalpsee and rerouting

I start to think that I have to change the name of this blog. After my hike this saturday anyway, I din’t walk the planned route for the second time…
My Hike for last week should have been really straight forward. It was on my to do List under “Filzbach Rundwanderung”. It starts in Filzbach and should have endend in Filzbach, that was the idea and it looked like it up to about halfway. So on the map below you see where I turned around and took a different route. My reason for turning around was quite simple, you couldn’t see the way anymore and everything was on really loose gravel and it went quite a way down and really scary to be honest. From up there I could see a big group of hikers going the way I just came from so I decided to go back and take the route below in the valley. The route was nice from there and apart from the cows you encountered really good to walk. But because I didn’t really plan on going that way and you didn’t have any signs on the way down to indicate how long one might take to the next town. It was a bit crazy, on the map below you see where I stopped and hitchhiked down to Murg (red line) and I can’t thanks the couple enough.

from Zurich HB: Train to Näfels-Mollis, then Bus to Filzbach (Post)

from Murg: Train to Ziegelbrücke and change train to Zurich HB
time: 1:08h
Next time I go there again I will only go to Spaneggsee and go for a swim enjoy the day and Hike back to Talalpsee and probably eat something at the restaurant there.
