So I didn’t make all the way to Inverness, not even to Fort William… I managed to go half way up the West Highland Way, my end destination was Tyndrum. It was my first attempted at long distance Hiking and to be honest, I didn’t anticipate it to be so much more difficult with 13-15kg on your back. It’s no excuse that I didn’t finish but I didn’t want to ruin my knees just to finish it.
But even with everything I learned a lot of things, and I want to go back there and do the rest of the way. I know now a bit better what I can expect and prepare a lot better.
I will start with some quad/hamstring exercise and definitely knee strengthening exercise.
