My Goodness – My Guinness

Last weekend of April to the 1st. of May we had what we call in Brückentag (bridgeday).
It’s a day off from work between a weekend and a bank holiday, so you basically get a long weekend. At my work place, we do some extra hours every month to compensate for certain days around the year, for example between christmas and new year and for days like last monday.
So on this long weekend I had planned a short city trip to Dublin, Ireland. It was my first time traveling alone, apart from when I moved to London a few years back. I didn’t plan my stay in Dublin, only some occasional online research.
My other experiment at this trip was AirBnB. So instead of booking a hostel, hotel, B&B or whatever one chooses, I wanted to find out how this concept will work out. And I was really surprised and happy to say that I will use it again in the future.
My plan for the weekend was to walk around the city and see if something would catch my interest.
Here is a little list of the places I have been:
- Dublin Castle
- Spire of Dublin
- Trinity College
- Christ Church Cathedral
- St. Patrick’s Cathedral
- Temple Bar
- Guinness Storehouse
- Samuel Beckett Bridge
