So last week I was for the second time in New York, it was amazing. In a City like NY so much can change in such a sort time and so much stays the same.
We didn’t have an itinerary this year, just some ideas on where to go. I liked the Idea of not having a “to do list”, my mother didn’t really agree with me on this (she would never dare to say anything but…).
So after two visits and a lot of walking, I have a little list of my favorite places in NY.
Nr. 1 Frick Collection
The Frick Collection is housed in the former Henry Clay Frick House, which was designed by Thomas Hastings and constructed in 1913-1914.The House itself is worth visiting, but the Collection of paintings and furniture are amazing. The Layout of the rooms with all the exhibition pieces are in the same place as when Mr. Frick used to life in the house.
Nr. 2 Metropolitan Museum of Art
The MET is just huge, I spent 2 days in it and still didn’t see everything. It’s an amazing Museum with all the collections and Installation. It doesn’t matter how much you get to see, if you only get to the Temple of Dendur, it will be worth it.
Nr. 3 American Museum of Natural History
I love all Natural Museums, you always learn something. It’s a beautiful Museum with all the displays and exhibitions of Animals. Or if you go into space with Whoopie Goldberg, just great really.
Nr. 4 Brooklyn Bridge
When I think of NY, the Brooklyn is always the first thing on my mind. The view you get from the Bridge towards Manhattan or Brooklyn is amazing. And since my last visit it changed so much. Everything changes so fast and some thing stay the same and the Brooklyn Bridge is proof that some thing don’t have to change to be great.
Nr. 5 Central Park
What can you say, that a city like NY has such a huge park is fantastic. An the Central Park with all the ponds, meadows and places to discover is the best place in Manhattan.

The Oasis Projekt
What a fun post! I love New York as well, and am looking forward to being back there this October at the end of my ride across the country. I am going to ride across the Brooklyn Bridge, so that will be very cool…and you made me put the Frick on my list as well!
Thanks again!
